My boyfriend plays a lot of online poker and has been losing a lot of money. I threatened to leave if he did not stop playing online poker. The threat worked, however he wants to start playing a few times a month because of the enjoyment he gets from it. I am afraid that he will start losing money and all financial responsibilities will fall on me. He has mentioned that he has lost tens of thousands of dollars in the past and I am not in the financial position to be able to handle that. What would you suggest?
I recommend that you start attending GAMANON and consider couples therapy.
