I have been watching intervention for several years now! I have a brother who is 27 and he is addicted to Meth. Josh has no job he is on probation and parole because of his addiction he knows he has a problem and he wants to quit but on the other hand always gives in to his temptations. Josh has been addicted to drugs for more than 16 yrs i would say. I don’t know where to turn I know deep down there is someone inside that wants a life of sobriety but he needs help and prison or jail is not the answer. He has no insurance or a job to pay for an expensive rehab facility. We live in a small town Acworth, GA which is just north of Atlanta GA. Can you help?? At this point I don’t know where to turn. - Amy
Dear Amy,
I am sorry to hear about your brother Josh. I would suggest Josh get into a long term facility. One of my favorite is The Salvation Army. They have an amazing recovery program. If you start doing some research you will find a place, just have him start calling every treatment facility in the country and ask for a government funded or grand funded bed and you're looking for long term. Most treatment centers know of places like that in their community. Here in LA I can think of a few so I am sure you have them in GA. It will not be easy but definitely possible. Just do not give up and fight to get into treatment and he will get in a place. The payoff is so worth it..
Sincerely,
Ken

Please help me. I have no family and no friends. I want and need help, but have no real reason. I have had an eating disorder for the last 10 years and have weighed 87 pounds at my worst or best in my eyes. I also suffer from alcoholism. I have seen you on TV and I think that you are a very genuine and sincere person. I have a University honors degree in Psychology and want to use it one day to help others like me. I am always so amazed at you guys on the show because you have managed to overcome some extremely difficult life circumstances. I would like to get help in getting into a rehab program. - Jess
